So its not only about the brides on a wedding day, I do shoot the groom too, well at least one or two shots and once I have finished the all important bridal preparation photos I do dedicate at least 2 or 3 minutes to the groom. Im joking of course, but once bridal prep shots are in the bag it's time to concentrate on the groom.
If I am shooting weddings at venues such as Stubton Hall or Prestwold Hall where the groom is getting ready at the same place as the bride then its a simple matter of running from room to room and shooting the groom once he is ready to go. I also love to produce detail shots with the groom in particular if I am shooting a military wedding there is always plenty of lovely details to focus on.
If the groom is getting ready at a different location to the bride or it is a church wedding then I will aim to get to this location with plenty of time to spare before the ceremony so I can guarantee I can have some quality time with the groom before the bride arrives. This is where the pre wedding meetings are so important so that I can get a detailed time line of events and make my plans so that I can ensure I can produce beautiful portraits of both you lovely people before the ceremony begins.
