I am known as a wedding photographer and the vast majority of my photography is weddings which I just love. But I also shoot a lot of pregnancy and new born photography right here in Lincoln and one of the nicest things for me to shoot is the arrival of a new born to a couple whose wedding I have shot, because that’s what happens when you get married you know, you have babies.

Maternity photography is a very specialised area and I prefer to produce these images in a professional photographic studio. The studio I use is based near Newark and has fantastic facilities, plenty of space, lots of great quality lighting equipment and most importantly privacy. There are a number of poses that I love to produce when I am shooting new born work. I love to incorporate parents arms in some of my shots, this works for so many reasons. It reassures your little one while I am shooting which makes it so much easier for me. It also provides that contrast between a tiny new born and the protective arms of parents.
Another shot I love to produce is again using hands of parents, this is such as lovely image to produce and looks so effective when printed in black and white.
