Wedding Venues in Lincolnshire.
There are some beautiful wedding venue in Lincolnshire that cater for all styles and sizes of weddings; so if it is a micro wedding followed by a lovely meal in a restaurant in Bailgate; a boutique style hotel or a gorgeous exclusive country mansion surrounding by fields or large gardens I am sure you will find a venue that suits your style and theme.
So let's look at some of the best venues that I have shot at here in Lincolnshire.
Harlaxton Manor.
Harlaxton Manor https://harlaxton.co.uk/ is one of the most stunning and impressive looking venues I have ever been to. Built in 1831 this dramatic and unforgettable country house is set in 300 acres of parkland and gardens near Grantham. It is also home to Harlaxton College part of the University of Evansville in Indiana USA. Although there are 300 students studying here they are housed in a completely diffrent part of the building so students and weddings never meet each other.
This luxury and premium wedding venue which generally caters for larger scale weddings of at least 60 guests. With full use of all the state rooms and gardens this venue guarantees to provide teh bride and groom with a stunning wedding day experience.
Ceremonies take place in the grand hall with the reception and dinner held in the long gallery. The architecture, ornate oak panelling, Italian marble floor and magnificent crystal chandelier all contribute to making this one of the most spectacular wedding venues in the UK.
Harlaxton Manor holds a limited amount of weddings each year and I am lucky enough to have shot here on many occasions. With so much incredible architecture and gardens to explore I know I will always produce incredible photography at this venue.
Irnham Hall.
Irnham Hall https://www.irnhamhall.co.uk/ near Grantham and Stamford is a wedding venue that oozes class and elegance. Set in the pretty village of Irnham this venue dates back as far as 1380 and has been relatively unchanged since 1510 and is teh private home to the very lovely Jamie and Leila Benton Jones. These wonderful hosts will welcome you to the venue and they are always on hand to ensure your day will go as smoothly as possible. If the bride needs an umbrella because its raining, Jamie is there. Do I need someone to carry my camera bag while I am shooting the bride and groom? Jamie has that.
Wedding guests can enjoy exclusive use of the summer house and the walled gardens for the reception which offers privacy and tranquility, ideal for enjoying a drink and canapés. The walled garden also offers plenty of options for photography , while the light and airy summerhouse can accommodate up to 150 guests for a sit down meal. There is something wonderfully intimate about the summerhouse and it provides a wonderful atmosphere for a truly special wedding.
I shot a fantastic wedding wedding at Irnham Hall with Amy and Jeremy last year and I cannot wait to shoot there again soon.
Hemswell Court.
Hemswell Court https://www.hemswellcourt.com/ is described at one of Lincolnshires hidden treasures. Just north of Lincoln this beautiful hotel is filled with antique furnishings, paintings, tapestries, and exquisite furnishings, all of which contribute towards providing a classic and elegant wedding day.
The beautifully kept gardens and gorgeous surrounding countryside provide me as a photographer with incredible backdrops and locations to create stunning wedding photography. The ceremony at Hemswell Court takes place in the drawing room, however, if you are having a summer wedding, weather permitting, the ceremony can take place outside in the beautiful gardens. Hemswell Court can host weddings of up to 200 guests but smaller and more intimate weddings can take place in the dining room, ideal for a micro wedding.
I am lucky enough to be a recommended photographer for Hemswell Court and I have many great weddings at this lovely venue, I'll be looking forward to shooting plenty more there this year too.
Allington Manor.
Allington Manor https://www.allingtonmanor.co.uk/ near Grantham is a beautiful restored grade 2 Jacobean building that is steeped in history. This small but perfectly formed venue is ideal for more intimate weddings and offers packages that range from elopements and micro weddings up to hosting weddings for 60 guests. A package can be found for weddings of most sizes and budgets.
Summer weddings have the advantage of the outdoor marquee in the garden whilst winter weddings with open fires and Christmas decorations in December all contribute towards a cosy and relaxed atmosphere. Allington Manor restricts the amount of weddings it hosts every year and it will only host one wedding over a weekend, so you can be sure the hist Leo will be giving you his undivided attention to ensure you have a wonderful wedding at this lovely venue.
This is a great wedding venue to shoot and although I have not shot many weddings here I do have some booked in this year and I am looking forward to shooting here again this summer.
